Easter Day!

A Traditional Start to the Day...

The Easter Bunny managed to drop off the baskets on time,

Jack politely woke up his sister before racing downstairs to see if the EB had come,

AND THEN

They were off... on their Easter Egg Hunt!  They quickly found all their eggs and made there way back for their pressies!

The race was on, then, to get ready for 10am Easter Mass... Only to realized once we got there, that we were an hour early!

On our way there, we got the news that Andrew & Kaila had their baby... and the baby was a GIRL!

So... we decided to go with Plan B (of the day) and go get some breakfast.

We decided to go with the flow of the day and just enjoy whatever came!  We started with a good, family breakfast at Panera...  It didn't take long to decide we were going with Plan C (of the day) and heading straight to Mankato to meet the kids' first Roeder cousin!

We got to Mankato, but The Roeder Family had taken a family nap, so we went to Plan D (of the day) and took the opportunity to see The Roe Family at the Mankato Country Club following Easter Brunch!

At last, we got the word and rushed over to ISJ to meet Jack & Sophie's first Roeder cousin...

One last stop... Andrew & Kaila's new house, and then we planned to get home.  Until... Jack biffed it during an intense game of wolf vs. elk in the front yard/driveway.  The back of our car got the best of him, and then followed the pavement.  He sliced his elbow open pretty good, so we went with Plan E (of the day) and proceeded to the ISJ Emergeny Department to get Jack's very first stitches!  He called in a request for his cousin Noah to join him, you know... because Noah had 9 stitches and Jack needed him by his side!  (Adorable... Noah came and they were even both in their green Gap pants!)

Going with the rest of the day, we decided to make this as much fun as possible, since it was futile to fight it!  We succeeded and got to watch Bubba win The Master's... something we would've had to opted for radio coverage of on the way home.

And, it was done before he knew it!

What a day! It wasn't at all planned, nor did we mind.  We were together and taking whatever came and sounded good and fun to us.  It was one of those days... the kind that you can't plan and will always remember!
