Walking?

Yes, the beginning signs of Jack walking made their debut on Tuesday, June 19th! For the first time, Jack let go and took a step or two on his own! This is HUGE, people! We thought he would for sure just take off and start struttin' his stuff this past weekend because Mike and I decided to make the big leap and go away for a whole weekend (to Rob and Missy's wedding)... no lie... 3 days and 2 nights... so inevitably, he was going to walk just to punish us, right? The law of parenting... children won't do anything when you want to show them off, however, they will when you decide to leave for the first semi-considerable amount of time!

We are happy to announce, however, that Jack decided to wait for Mommy and Daddy to return so he could get some more practice in first before going solo on the whole walking adventure! (Phew... he must be a good little listener because I whispered specific instructions in his ear before kissing him 100 times and then finally leaving for the weekend.)

At any rate, we will keep everyone informed on any up and coming developments as they occur! In the meantime, the picture of Jack in the bathtub was just from him tonight...
